There are so many opportunities to capture the images of Kauai! Some trotting and cantering are possible, depending on group dynamics; this may be taken as a walk only ride for less experienced riders.

No riding experience necessary. Families of mixed abilities and guests, who have not ridden in many years will enjoy this ride. A lesson on stopping, turning, and trotting your horse in the arena is incorporated before venturing on the trail, with fun and education assured.

You spend approximately 2 hours on the horse.

Time: 8:30 am and 1:00 pm

Summary:

There is a $4.95 USD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

A Taste of Kauai Horseback Riding Tour from Kapaa Description

Trail rides are limited to 5 guests, ages 10 and up. Guide reserves the right to determine suitability of ride for trail conditions and rider's expertise. All rides begin with an orientation lesson in the arena, and go out rain or shine; rain gear is provided. Long pants and socks are required (available for rent at a nominal charge), riding helmets and boots are required and provided at no cost. Bottled water is provided on all rides. A pack is provide that will strap to the saddle; riders may put their camera in the pack.

All riders must wear long pants down to the ankles and wear long socks up to the calves. Riders will be provided with a helmet and boots, and they must be worn.

Rides are held rain or shine. Raincoats are provided.

Directions from Lihue or the South Side of Kauai (Poipu, etc.)
From Hwy. 56 (Kuhio Hwy.) turn on Hwy. 580 (Kuamoo Rd.) Go 2.7 miles. Turn RIGHT on Hwy. 581 (Kamalu Rd.) Go 1.6 miles to end of Kamalu Rd. Turn LEFT on Olohena Rd. Go 1.5 miles. Turn RIGHT on Kualapa Pl. Go to end of Kualapa Pl. GO DOWN DRIVEWAY ON LEFT IN LOW GEAR.

Directions from North of Kapaa (Anahola, Princeville, Hanalei, etc.)
From Hwy. 56 (Kuhio Hwy.) turn RIGHT on Mailihuna Rd. (just at south end of Kealia Beach) Go 1/2 mile. Turn RIGHT on Kawaihau Rd. Go 3.5 miles. Turn LEFT on Kainahola Rd. (Look for Growing Greens Plant Nursery on the right just before it). Go 1 mile on twisting road, it will end in a forced LEFT turn onto Olohena Rd. Go one block. Turn LEFT onto Kualapa Pl. Go to end of Kualapa Pl. GO DOWN DRIVEWAY ON LEFT IN LOW GEAR.
